Spiritual awareness begins when we open the heart and attune to the sensations within the body. When we become present to what is happening internally, awareness naturally expands into everything we do.
Feelings and emotions move like an electrical current through the physical body. Often, we sense things long before the mind can understand them. The body knows. The heart feels. And awareness allows us to witness both.
The mind is constantly evaluating. It labels experiences as good or bad, right or wrong. Based on past experiences, it instantly reacts with like or dislike.
This mental activity is not wrong — it is part of being human. But when we live only from the mind, we remain caught in duality.
Beyond the thinking mind and the sensations of pleasure and pain in the body, there is another layer: spirit.
Spirit offers an inner knowingness that rises above reaction. It is subtle, calm, and steady. It does not argue or judge. It simply knows.
When we open the heart, we begin to access wisdom within every internal and external event. Instead of resisting what arises, we practice acceptance.
By acknowledging the three layers of awareness — mind, body, and spirit — we gain a deeper understanding of reality. As you notice yourself being intuitively drawn toward or away from certain people, situations, or choices, you begin to respond rather than react.
This is where greater contentment and well-being are cultivated.
Spiritual growth is not about rejecting the mind or ignoring the body. It is about balancing all three dimensions. When mind, body, and spirit are aligned with your truth, personal growth unfolds naturally and with ease.
To deepen your spiritual awareness, ask yourself:
What is my own definition of watching, observing, and being aware?
Then try this simple body awareness meditation:
Observe without judgment. Watch without trying to change anything.
The more you practice observing your thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, the more you strengthen your awareness. And awareness is the foundation of all spiritual transformation.
